It has been a long winter, the boys and I are so glad that spring is on the way. There are buds on the trees and the temperature seems a little warmer everyday. I am sure we'll get another blast of winter before spring really decides to stick around but we sure are enjoying spending some much needed time outside.
Today we went for a walk, the twins especially would spend all day outside if they had the choice. They had so much fun pulling their lawnmowers around the neighborhood and the boys have already amassed a very nice collection of sticks, by the end of the summer I am sure are stash will be big enough for one very large bonfire.
Being the Mom of 3 boys is awesome!! Never in my life could I have imagined how much fun you can have with rocks, dirt and sticks. While we were walking today the boys came upon a hole in the cement filled with water and all sorts of floating foreign objects. All 3 boys gathered around and stuck their sticks in to investigate. (Whenever I see my 3 little men together I can't get over what a handsome brood I have.) Of course I did have to explain that while sticking our sticks in mud, cement holes and even snow is great fun we should steer clear of impaling poo.

Oh my, aren't we so glad to have spring on its way? Hooray! And it's also great to think dirt and rocks and holes are so exciting. It makes us wonder why in the world we're buying all of these silly toys :)

We will definitely have to go do some fun outdoor things with our boys. Let me know when and what you want to do and we are up to it!
