Today we went for a hike at Brighton with Nana, Papa & the Mangum clan. It had already rained earlier that morning so to be honest I wasn't really looking forward to hiking but we ended up having a lot of fun. Jackson had a great time running and climbing with his cousins, the twins were stuck on mine and Doug's back but I think they also had a good time. We didn't get to far before the weather took a turn for the worse and we had to head back down. While our fun was cut short we didn't go home empty handed...on the way down Jackson was running and took a nasty spill (thanks Doug & Angela for helping my little man until I could get to him) he went head over heels and came away with a scraped knee, a large bump on his forehead and a few scrapes and swelling on his cheek. While it was bad fall I am so thankful that he wasn't seriously hurt, he was his crazy self in no time. We certainly had a full day of fun in the mud!! The picture above was taken after the infamous fall, while none of my boys look happy they sure are muddy!!
By the way the leaves have started to change, the mountain sides were spotted with vibrant reds, yellow and oranges. It was beautiful! Plan to take a drive up the canyon soon.

Sounds fun! We need to get up there soon before the weather gets too chilly. I do love to see the fall colors up the canyon. And I'm glad Jackson is OK. Ouch.
Love those jeans in your previous post! Finding jeans sure is the daunting task. Glad Jackson wasn't hurt. We need to get up the canyon and see the leaves. That is my favorite part of Fall!!

Fall already? Wasn't it just Memorial Day? (calgon take me away)....where has the time gone? I swear the only thing to look forward now is cute coats and fur….ugh. The kids are super big and absolutely adorable! -Em
I wish that we could've gone. His diaper rash was so bad that we didn't think he would've been a very happy hiker. The diaper rash still isn't gone. He has another ear infection and his antibiotic is making it come back, but now we know how to prevent it! He also had some stupid stomach flu! I guess it's all about being a parent. My computer is back! Yay! I am glad I will know what you guys are up to now.
