An impromptu trip to the zoo with friends was a great way to spend an afternoon. We all had a good time. I finally remembered to come prepared with money for the train, the train ride is always a highlight for my boys. We went into the "burrows" or the "cave" as Jackson called it (this was our first time going into the cave) and we got to see bats and fish that had no eyes....who knew. Jackson and Bruce chased a poor peacock halfway through the zoo and we came away with only 1 bloody knee....it was a good day.

Oh, that was such a great afternoon spur-of-the-moment trip! The kids had so much fun and they slept awfully well that night :) I mean, since the boys ran the equivalent of a half marathon and all. It's always fun to get together with you guys! Thanks for letting us come.
