{choo...choo...choo...THE TWINS ARE 2!!}

* Happy Birthday *
Noah & Baden

GETTING READY TO BLOW OUT THE CANDLES.....
{Noah, Baden & their "choo...choo" birthday cake}

Yesterday we celebrated Noah & Baden's 2nd birthday!!
We had a great day. We had lots of balloons and streamers, birthday music, lunch with grandpa and grandma, cake, homemade root beer (a twins birthday tradition) and of course presents.  What an awesome way to celebrate a  birthday!!

{Noah & Baden ~ 2 days old}

Where have the last 2 years gone? Above is a picture of my boys when they were just 2 days old. Still so tiny that they could share the bouncy chair. I always get all sentimental and emotional on my boys' birthday, the twins especially because I feel so grateful we had no complications and have been blessed with 2 healthy and happy little boys. While the past 2 years have in many ways been the hardest of my life (as our family quickly jumped from 3 to 5) I have never been happier. I have learned so much and gotten to share many special moments with my boys that are truly priceless.

With 2, 2-year olds we're off to conquer another year..... I hope my home survives!!!
Seriously....don't let those adorable little faces fool you. When you put the two of them together they are a force to be reckoned with....

While Noah & Baden are twins (and although not identical look VERY similar) they are unique little guys with personalities all their own.

Noah
Noah is DETERMINED!! When he makes up his mind, watch out. He is tenderhearted, loving and a total goofball. He is curious and an eager helper. He loves to help his daddy mow the lawn or help mommy vacuum the floors. He gives the best hugs and I love him a ton!

Baden
Baden is happy and laid back. He is full of enthusiasm and gets so excited over the simplest things like seeing a helicopter fly overhead of spotting a bug on the sidewalk. He is fearless and a bit of a daredevil. He is kind and loving and I totally adore him.

The twins are also best buds. While they certainly have out moments of discontent they truly are best friends I feel very privileged to watch the special bond they share grow stronger every day!

Good luck with your two year olds! And thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm so jealous that you're going to NYC. I so want to take Bill there sometime! I wish I had some good suggestions of things to do and see, but I'm sure you'd get much better advice from a Fodor's Travel Guide. Definitely see a broadway show though ... maybe "Wicked"? And don't be afraid of the subway - it's definitely the best way to get around. Have fun, I can't wait to read about it on your blog!

This is late, but Happy Birthday Baden and Noah! You've got some great boys there, Kirstin. And Annabel thinks so too. She always questions whether something belongs to Baben and Naw-ah, where they are, will she see them soon, etc.
