Last Saturday we took a day trip up north to the Hardware Ranch. I love little local field trips and this was a lot of fun. We checked out the visitors center then went for a horse drawn sleigh ride out into the field where herds of elk come for the winter. It rained all day so we were all a little soggy but we had a good time. Thanks Nana & Papa for the yummy hot cocoa and rolls afterwards. On our way home we stopped in Logan at the Gossner Cheese Factory, a place Doug remembers visiting when he was a kid. We bought ice cream cones and "squeaky cheese" otherwise known as cheese curd...yum!!
Jackson checking out the bear skin at the visitor's center, claws and all!
Dad & the twins by the very large stuffed elk.
The horse drawn sleigh....what a way to travel. Minus of course the mixture of snow, hay and elk droppings that occasionally sprayed up if you sat too close to the blades.

Last time I was at Hardware Ranch I was waiting for my marathon to start. I imagine your experience was a little more pleasant. And Gossners cheese factory - oh how I miss that! I love Cache Valley. I wouldn't mind moving back there someday.
Oh, how I do love the Hardware. It's so beautiful in Cache Valley. I'm glad you guys had a fun time.
I am so sad we didn't get to go. Being on call is hard sometimes and I miss out on some fun things. I am glad you guys had a lot of fun!
