We spent the weekend in Ogden to cheer Doug to the finish line of his first marathon. He did AWESOME!!! He finished with a time of 3 hours and 37 minutes. Jackson ran the kids K later that afternoon (a 1 mile run) my little dude ran the whole way. I was super impressed and even more impressed that his Dad ran it with him sore legs and all. Thanks to everyone who sent their well wishes and was there to cheer him on!
Doug & Jackson after the kids K race. Jackson was SO excited to get to run a "marathon" just like his dad.

Congrats Doug! Kirstin, you're next!
Kirstin is going to Run a half this year! Doug
way to go!!! good luck kirstin!
Um I should clarify Doug thinks i should run a half marathon this year whether I actually do remains to be seen.
Do it Kirstin! A half marathon is such a great distance. Long enough to be a good challenge, but the training doesn't take over your life and wear down your body like a full marathon does. Do you have a specific race in mind?
We're thinking Logan in September. I would need that long to work up from my normal runs of 2 to 3 miles.
I ran the Top of Utah full marathon a couple of years ago. It's a great race. I'm sure the half is too. Happy Running!
