{father's day}

We celebrated Father's Day early at our house because Doug was out of town on Sunday, and while we don't like it when he has to travel on special days we always try to make the best of the situation....so we celebrated Father's Day a few days early and made a whole day of it. For breakfast we had yummy scones from Great Harvest (that may have been more for Mom and than Dad). For lunch we took the boys to the Mayan. We had a good time and great seats to watch the divers which the boys thought were awesome!! Since the twins were born we haven't done too many sit down restaurants, but I have to say all 3 of my boys were so well behaved it was a really enjoyable lunch as a family, we may have to do it again soon.

Later that evening we went to the zoo and rode the new carousel. The boys had a blast, especially the twins it was so fun to watch their faces light up as the animals they rode started to move up and down. But oh did we cause a scene when our turn was over....the twins started crying and were so upset that their turn was over...and they both carried on for a good 5 minutes. I guess I will have to come prepared for a carousel ride on our next trip to the zoo.

While crazy like most days at our house are, we had so much fun especially because we were lucky to have Daddy with us all day. Doug is such a great Dad....his boys adore him and so do I.
