{books, books & more books}

When Jackson was born I started reading to him when he was a week old, well maybe not a week old but we started early. He has always loved books and being read to. The twins, that is a different story. I have felt soooo guilty that I haven't spent the same amount of time being able to read to them, but I am so proud of my little men that they have discovered a love for books, and not just for all the fun you can have while shredding them into a million pieces. Lately, I will find them sitting together with a pile of books between them just looking at all the pictures and now they will both run up, snuggle up on each side of me and hand me books to read. They love to read and point out things in the pictures. Their favorite books right now are "How do Dinosaurs say Goodnight", "How do Dinosaurs get well Soon", and "How do Dinosaurs clean up their Room"....do we detect a theme. They also love any book that has pictures of animals since they are quite the animal sound experts these days. I am so glad that despite my failings my boys have still discovered a love of books. The time I get to spend with them reading stories is one of the best parts of my day.

Noah & Baden are the best of buddies I get a kick out of telling them to give each other kisses and loves. I am sure this will be one of those pictures I will have to pull out to show their girlfriends and they will probably hate me for it. Oh well....they're just too adorable!

That is so cute! I try to read to Carson at night, but when I went back to work, I kind of focus on just getting him to bed so that Dave and I can eventually get there too. I am so guilty of doing that. I can't hold the book in front of him on my lap because he just grabs and grabs at it and then sticks it in his mouth.

I'm a big book fan as well. You little guys are honestly so darn cute! Trust me, it gets harder and harder with each one to do what you did with the first kid. But, we do our best, right? At least that is what I keep telling myself.

Could they be any cuter? Oh my word. Look at those cute little smiles! Poor Annabel was chasing after me with a book today: "Weed! Weed! Weed!" We do get SOME reading in everyday, but not as much as I (or she) would like!
