Happy 4th Birthday

Jackson asked for and received a new "blue" bike for his birthday. Mom and Dad had to search high and low for a BLUE bike. Jackson's favorite color is blue so a blue bike it had to be. He's very particular...don't get me started. He was so proud of his new bike and the water bottle his little brothers gave him. Our goal for this summer is to learn to ride without training wheels. He rocked that blue bike.

{make a wish}

This was Jackson's bike birthday cake. Apparently I am under some sort of delusion that I am Martha Stewart because come birthday time I get the crazy idea to whip out some sort of elaborately decorated birthday cake. It never quite turns out how I image it. It taste good, I am a half decent baker but my decorating skills well lets just say they are not quite up to par. Jackson dug his cake and it turned out much better than last years firetruck cake which was nearly uneatable with the masses of red frosting, I may have to post a picture sometime it was such a sad cake. I have a theory that Jackson will one day ask why he never gets a store bought cake....I will keep you updated on that one.

I can hardly believe that my Jackson is now 4 years old. In so many ways it seems like only yesterday that Doug and I were holding our newborn totally awestruck at how amazing he was, and he has never ceased to amaze us. Jackson is an awesome little guy. He is smart, artistic, athletic, loving, stubborn, hesitant yet courageous, smart and you can't forget handsome. He is passionate about life and has an infectious giggle. I am so proud to be his Mom and I know we have another awesome year ahead of us.
