The basement remodel continues....we are having the main shut off valve to the house replaced but our plumber wasn't able to complete the work because apparently the meter, out on the parkstrip, is broken and won't shut off completely, thus making it impossible to fully shut off the water to the house. So we called the city to come out and make the repair. I have to say I am very impressed with the city's response time. We called them yesterday at about 3:30 pm and they were here before 5:00 p.m. They didn't have the parts they needed to do the repair on the spot but they were back and had the repair complete by about 3:00 p.m. today. Now that is efficient!! Now I am not sure why exactly their was a geyser of water in our front yard during the repair reprocess but it entertained the boys who watched from the front window and created some curiosity for the neighbors. It made for a fun afternoon.
Basement Remodel Status - The plumber should be here tomorrow morning, the drywall delivered tomorrow afternoon, the drywall hangers will be on the job Saturday and the mudding and taping will commence on Monday. We should be fully drywalled by this time next week. Everyone keep your fingers crossed....
